Miracles Do Happen
A few weeks ago, we received a phone call in the middle of the night from our oldest son to tell us that he and his friends had been in a car accident. A parent's worse nightmare. Thankfully, everyone had minor or no injuries. But after we arrived at the scene and saw the vehicle, did we realize that the Lord's hand was protecting our child. It was truly a humbling experience for oldest, who was sitting by the door that took the majority of the impact and truly frightening for us when we saw how hard the car was hit.
We said many prayers in gratitude that the vehicle that hit them was another compact and not a truck. The interesting thing is that my sweet husband was on the phone with our son only 30 minutes earlier telling H-bomb that it was too late to be riding around in a car and that they need to get home right away. Unfortunately, they didn't turnaround right then and there. A few blocks later, his buddy was distracted as he was talking to the kids in the car and didn't see the red light. H-bomb now realizes that sometimes parents really are inspired by the Spirit to protect their children and not just "sticks-in-the-mud"

We are so glad that no one was hurt. It would be a wonderful world if they would listen to mom & dad before they have to pay such a huge price. Oh, the joys of parenting...
I am so glad that everyone is okay!!
