Post-Vacation Fog

Have you ever come back from vacation physically, but your brain is late in arriving? That would be me! We got back from that frigid tundra up north (UT) late Thursday and I am still struggling to kick it in gear. It might be from all the hot cocoa I drank trying to stay warm (sugar crash!). Really it is because we had so much fun thanks to my awesome kid sister and husband. They were nice enough to open up their home to us and let us hang out for awhile. It was great seeing Grandma J too! R and K were up with their little guy, staying with Grandma J.

It was fun to all get together and celebrate little Ellie's b-day with all of the above and our niece and her new hubby, C&D. The boys were lovin' life when their uncle revved up the quads and took them to a nearby field to spin donuts and catch air over jumps. And then he really stole their hearts when he took them to see someone's cool gun. In addition, the boys got to go to Cabela's and look at even more guns! To top it off, uncle took them shooting and went through 500 rounds of ammo. They thought they'd died and went to heaven. Hubby, SM (his initials also stand for stud muffin), and I decided we are the most boring boy parents alive. No quads, boats, or guns...okay, they own airsoft guns - not the same thing though! Kid sis and I got to go shopping while the men and kids were out shooting into hillsides. I wish we lived closer! Thanks A&R for letting us invade your home!

We had a double bonus in that SM's sister and hubby were in UT visiting all of their kiddos at the same time. A&C just had a beautiful baby boy, Boston; and we got to visit with our new little niece, Emmi, courtesy of B&J. JJ made the trip which makes it even more fun for H-Bomb and Conzo. This family is so much fun, and did I mention they are game-playing, sleep-deprived, crazy people? They taught us some really fun games as we laughed until the early morning.

It isn't a post vacation fog. It's a stay up until 2 am for a week straight sleep deprivation fog.

We did have fun...quads and guns...makes all the kids and boys happy. I like the quads too, but would be perfectly happy to get rid of the guns. But Taipan Trading? Mmmm, ahhhh, lovin' life. I need to get up there to use my 20% off coupon this week.

Guns, guns and more guns! Nice vacation! Sounds like you all had way too much fun. Just remember--guns and hot cocoa don't mix!

Could you email me that picture of Riley and Conzo? She won't cooperate or smile for pictures when we ask her to, so that's the best picture I've seen of her in ages.

Why exactly are the 4-wheelers tires not touching the ground in that picture of your husband? ;)

Post something new....your blog is a little slow right now... :O)
