There is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt on my bulletin board in my office that says "Do one thing everyday that scares you". Writing in this blog is the thing I fear today. Not sure exactly why I am avoiding it. Will it be witty enough? Will I have anything interesting to write about? Will I use it as a "whining" post or will I find positive things to write? Will I use proper grammar? Will I ever lose the 50 extra pounds that has attached itself to my former "hard body"? But, I digress. Maybe I am afraid it will make me think of things I would rather avoid. Running from the negative things in life is my forte. So my goal for this blog is to find balance. So for 2008: I will write about the crap that is bugging me along with the joy that I encounter along the way. This blog for the time being is meant to be a totally selfish, but hopefully, therapeutic forum for this woman.
Right now the fam and I are in UT visiting Jean, Andrea and Ron and their family. Russ, Kennedy and Grant made the trip too. We have an added bonus in that we also have nieces and nephews (who each have brand new babies) on Scott's side living here, and Lori, Tim and Jenna came up from TX to visit their kids and brand new grandbabies. So we are having lots of fun visiting, eating and playing. The girls are off to Taipan Trading this afternoon to do some damage to our wallets. This store is an evil home decor store that is straight from the devil. It makes you want to spend lots of money on lots of pretty and useless stuff. Scott reminded me we have no room in the truck to haul anything back, but I am sure we can make room somewhere. We can strap one of the boys to the roof of the truck...Just kidding!

Welcome to blogging, cuz! I'm so happy you're here. . . finally. And don't worry about what you write. I promise to tell you when you're not witty enough. It's MY New Year's Resolution! Just kidding. I'm excited to watch you do what you fear. Now get to it!
I'm glad you started a blog too--I'll have so much reading it along with everyone elses. :)

Yay!!
So glad that you have a blog!
I will be checking in...
Just look at you, ms. popular! I like the peri-menopausal rantings addition.
Okay, I need to go to bed...but I'm giddy thinking about NOT having to be to church by 9 am!
